Doctor Theeuwen was a general practitioner in Heeze. The population usually called him Piet or Pietje. The doctor is known to have helped people in the resistance and in hiding. Among other things, he provided help to the De Koning brothers but also took action at the risk of his own life during the liberation. The street name was assigned mainly because he was the general practitioner in Heeze for many years and meant a lot to Heeze.
