Eleven people died in Leende as a result of the war. Previously, a memorial plaque for the war dead was located in Leende's town hall. Instead of a memorial chapel, stained-glass windows, among other things, were installed in the town hall. When the town hall was rebuilt in 1992, they moved the memorial plaque, which was finally given a place on a memorial pillar in the market square in 1995. The large window was placed in the new village hall and the small windows from the council chamber are in the custody of the municipality of Heeze-Leende.
