Restaurant de Boschwachter

Dining, lunch, hiking or biking in the Heezerbosch?

The characteristic long-gabled farmhouse hides a particularly atmospheric café-restaurant. A perfect base or mooring for a lovely walk or bike ride through the Groote Heide or the Leenderbos. The terrace provides a sunny and relaxed atmosphere with a refreshing beer or wine when the weather is nice. Or warm yourself in the winter by the cozy fireplace.

We have various walking and cycling routes, available in the restaurant.

Restaurant Cambium

With nature as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Cambium reflects the feeling of nature coming inside. Cambium is a growth process from nature. The basis of growing and flourishing. In restaurant Cambium the culinary qualities and hospitality come to bloom and you enjoy a (h)honest dinner inside or outside.

Haviksoord Golf Club

Since its inception in 1975, Haviksoord has been different in many ways. Membership is available to any practitioner of golf. People came and come there for the sport of golf. Haviksoord has no starting times for its members. The golf course is in good condition, with extra attention paid to the greens. There is a cozy compact clubhouse where one can go for a snack and a drink.

The course and the players' "feeling at home" are the main issues for the Golf Club. Guest players are welcome. Current green fee prices can be found on the website and for reservations please call 040 2061818.

Manege De Molenberg

Manege De Molenberg is beautifully situated on the edge of the Leenderbos, right on the A2 exit Leende/Valkenswaard. The Molenberg offers numerous equestrian possibilities: stabling of your pony/horse or participation in group or individual riding lessons. An outdoor ride (80 km of bridle path) is also one of the possibilities.

Of course, you are also welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee on our pleasant terrace or at the cozy bar. You can also choose a dish from the menu here. There are various possibilities for meetings, gatherings or celebrating a (children's) party.

Meulendijks Manege

Eatery and equestrian center Manege Meulendijks is located on the edge of the Strabrechtse heather, on beautiful cycling, hiking and equestrian & riding routes.

The Austrian-style eatery is open daily from noon for an extensive meal or refreshment. There is a charging point for electric bicycles. Prefer horseback riding across the moors? It is possible to go horseback riding under professional guidance on one of the riding school horses. Of course, riding lessons are also among the possibilities. Meulendijks Manege provides lessons in western, dressage, jumping, carousel and outdoor riding. For all possibilities, also for companies, please take a look at the website.

Schoorsveld Nature Cemetery

Nature Cemetery Schoorsveld is a beautiful natural area with open fields, forests and beautiful fens. In this special area you can lay down a place now, by yourself or together with your partner, for later. A place that will be yours forever, in the beautiful open field, or near a freshly smelling Douglas fir. A place that is and remains part of nature. Together with Natuurmonumenten we make sure this place will be preserved forever.

The nature reserve is freely accessible to hikers and cyclists between sunrise and sunset. Every 2nd day of the month there is a walk through the nature reserve where people can learn more about nature and natural burials (you can register via our website). Opening hours information center: Mon to Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 11am-4pm.

State Forestry Administration

State Forestry Administration manages the green heritage of the Netherlands: 270,000 ha of nature that we protect, that you can experience and that we use sustainably together with and for others. Leende has the Leenderbos; Heeze has the Strabrechtse Heide. Together two immense nature reserves to roam around endlessly.

The Leenderbos is about 2400 hectares and consists largely of conifers, heathland, fens, drifting sand, winding paths and stream valleys. The Strabrechtse Heide, with 1850 hectares, is the largest contiguous heathland area in North Brabant. A vast plain of heather, juniper berries and fens.

Brabant Landscape Foundation

Brabants Landschap manages just under 2,800 hectares of forest, heathland and fens as well as some historic buildings in green areas. With a network of enthusiastic volunteers Brabants Landschap is also committed to preserving, restoring and developing biodiversity outside the protected areas.

You can discover the Valkenhorst nature reserve from the information point at the Fletcher Hotel in Leende. This is the starting point for a walking or cycling tour along the fish ponds and the Spinsterberg. Or go for a family walk in the Herbertusbossen. At Tapperij De Zwaan in Heeze start three routes of the free app Vossenstreken: The walking app for young adventurers! www.vossenstrekenapp.com
